Climate Justice Youth Summit (CJYS) participants, it’s that time of the year again! That’s right, NYC’s 7th Climate Justice Youth Summit is fast approaching and this year’s summit will undoubtedly be the most important one to date considering our political situation. In years past CJYS successfully gathered 750 youth who live locally in the most vulnerable communities of NYC to learn and work to address climate justice. This year we're going smaller but bigger, setting the goal of educating and transforming even more. With your help young people of color all over the city will become organizers with the ability to take hold of their own future and be the change they want to see.
This year we are partnering with the Climate Justice Alliance, and others while expanding the summit’s from a New York City based event to a national dialogue between youth leaders of color from Puerto Rico, Michigan; the Gulf South; and the Global South. This is a Call to Action! Young people of color are on the front lines of the climate crisis, now is the time to power up!
This is Day 1 of the Climate Justice Youth Summit and it will be held at 26 Bridge Street Brooklyn, NY 11201
